Policies and Programs
The following are some of the programs/policies that we have in place
We are wheel chair accessible. New washroom facilities have been built with a toilet for the handi-capped There is also a Family Washroom with a change table for members/visitors with young children.
Implementation of Leading with Care Program - (" Criminal Record Checks on all Elders and Sunday School Teachers") Windows installed in rooms used by Minister and Sunday School Rooms. Two teachers in Sunday School Room at all times.
Sexual Abuse and / or Harassment - three member committee in place.
Safe Handling of Food Course - as promoted by the Ministry of Health attended by all members handling and hosting programs involving food preparation.
Yearly Government and Insurance inspected Up to date kitchen facilities with large Lloyd Smith Hall for holding functions.
Vibrate Choir - (using Kurzweil Keyboard)
Hardworking Women's Group and Fellowship Group. A "Fellowship Hour" is held and hosted by members in Lloyd Smith Hall from September to June.
Audio Committee - we have a Power Point Multi Media Large Screen T.V. (which can be moved to Lloyd Smith Hall) with CCLI & CVLI Basic Licenses at this time which can be expanded to include more.
Our Sunday School is involved in their "Outreach Prayer Program" sending out Get Well and Thinking of You Cards - not only to our Congregation but to those in the Community who need our thoughts and prayers. They also collect food for South Stormont's Christmas Food Drive. They have a Mitten Tree at Christmas with items being divided between South Stormont township’s Christmas Basket program and the Agape Centre in Cornwall (This tree also includes, hats, scarves, and socks for children of all ages.) They are involved in "Fresh Water Project" giving $1000.00 already to Presbyterian Sharing and will soon be donating another $1000.00. They participate in "Operation Christmas Child" and for the past six years in "Relay For Life" raising over $10,000.00.
