Peacefully at Woodland Villa in Long Sault on Monday April 20, 2015 age 93 years. Gladys Bender nee- Winters formerly of Finch. Beloved wife of the late Robert ‘Jay’ Bender. Loved mother of Nancy Bender of British Columbia and Janice Bender (Stephen) of Ingleside. Dear sister of Gladstone Winters of Long Sault. Sadly missed by her two grandchildren Kayla Graveley (Brian) and Jenna Graveley (Josh). Predeceased by her parents Howard and Grace (Markell) Winters and one brother Kenneth Winters. To honour Mrs. Bender’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service in celebration of Gladys Bender’s life will be held in St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church Ingleside on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 3:00pm. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Woodland Villa for their compassion and care shown to Gladys and the Bender family.
