Minister Harold Kouwenberg
Harold Kouwenberg joyfully began ministry with the exciting, responsive congregation in Ingleside Ontario in June of 2010 following a challenging attempt to revitalize a struggling congregation in East Hamilton. He has been involved in interim ministry, Bible Society work and pastoral ministry over the years. His passion is promoting the gospel, loving the people of God and keeping his wife Lorraine happy and loved. Children, grandchildren and many friends, families of friends and family friends remain priorities in his life. Striving each day to remember the much needed grace and the unconditional love of Jesus he wants more than anything to reflect those fruits of Christ’s Spirit which identify the followers of the Lord and to live in and promote the security and warmth of the fellowship of Christ’s body as a safe, loving and grace filled family called by God to reflect His glory in the world.
Harold is a seasoned warrior for the gospel, experienced in pastoral ministry, interim ministry, para-church ministry and also in business having been involved in construction, retail and in consulting. In his own words, Harold says “I’ve been ordained for 32 years and have experienced the church at its best and at its worst, but then, the church has had to cope with me at my best and worst too. Thank goodness for Grace!”
