Grant, Catherine May (nee Hollister)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on November 5th, 2011 at the age of 60. Beloved wife of Garth Grant of Ingleside. Cherished mother to Jason (Heather) Crites, Teri-Lynn (Jody) Beckstead, and Zachary (Kelcie) Grant, all of Ingleside. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Gracie, Sarah, Katie and Jack. Survived by brothers Gerry (Irene) Hollister of Cornwall, James (Linda) Hollister of Morrisburg, Larry (Karen) Hollister of Daytona Beach, FL, and Lee (Deborah) Hollister of Ingleside. Predeceased by parents Clifford and Daphne (nee Hollingsworth) Hollister, sister Sharon (Stephen) Barclay of Morrisburg, and infant brother Michael Hollister. Cathy also held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews and their children, and her grand-dog Champ. Will be fondly remembered by many relatives, neighbours and friends.
As per Cathy’s request, there was no visitation. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 12th, 2011 in St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, Ingleside with Rev. Harold Kouwenburg officiating. Following the service, friends joined the family for a time of refreshments and fellowship.
Cathy’s warm smile and friendly spirit will be greatly missed by all those who knew her, including her St. Matthew’s family.
